Writing NaNo gobbles November.
This past month I've been spending long days at my computer. I joined NaNoWriMo--or NaNo--both are short for National Novel Writing Month. The goal of those "doing" NaNo is to write 50,000 words in a month. No small feat.
I "won", which means I achieve the goal, November 26 just in time to make pies for Thanksgiving. Fifty thousand words is a great start but it's not enough for a novel. So, come Monday I'll be back at it. Will I be writing 2500 words a day like I did when doing NaNo? I don't know. What I do know is that it's possible for me to do that in a morning when I put my mind to it. It makes me wonder why I hadn't done it until now.
Thank you, NaNo.
Hmmm, what other things can I accomplish in a month if I really put my mind to it? I could be in shape for Christmas! Is there a National Get in Shape Month? Oh yes, silly me. It's January. :-)
Happy Thanksgiving!
